An Overview
Handicrafts from Kashmir are an exquisite expression of the refined skill and talent of its artisans. Our Origin
While traveling across Kashmir and on seeing the rich heritage of textiles that existed here, our founder was quick to realize their untapped business potential and M. A. Sheikh & Sons came into being in 1979. The products very quickly garnered a market for themselves. Our company was founded with the philosophy of keeping alive India's rich textile and craft heritage by making it economically viable for the artisans to pursue their traditional professions and not abandon it in favour of alternate means of livelihood. After having established our foothold in the domestic market, today, we serve a discerning clientele across USA, Europe and Gulf Countries and export 70% of our produce.

M. A. Sheikh & Sons have a long tradition of the unmatched magnificence, which is brought out by hand embroidery - be it Sozni (Needle work) or Aari (Hook-work). We ensure that our products conform to the international standards of quality and therefore, we check them on parameters of proper dimensional stability, color fastness, shrinkage control and uniform dyeing.
Our Infrastructure
M. A. Sheikh & Sons is headed by team of professionals who have in-depth knowledge and understanding of the fashion industry. These professionals work closely with artisans and craftsmen by providing various inputs including design, quality control, access to raw materials and production coordination expectations. Our monthly production capacity is 1000 pieces. We ensure that our warehousing facilities are in perfect condition so that the safety of the products is not compromised on. Timely delivery of the ordered products is crucial for survival in this industry. We completely understand this and make sure that our distribution facility is fully prepared to take up any challenge arising out of fluctuations in demand.
